At Bed4U, we understand that sometimes you may need to return a product. To make this process as smooth as possible, we offer a 28-day return policy for items purchased from our website. Please review the terms and conditions below to ensure that your return meets the criteria.
Terms and Conditions
Return Charges
- Bed frames: £120 return charge
- Ottoman beds: £150 return charge
These fees are set by the national courier service we use and are non-negotiable. Please note, assembly services are non-refundable, even if declined on delivery.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item is faulty, we will replace the relevant part, but we do not accept full returns for faulty goods. Damages caused during delivery must be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt for a replacement.
Assembly
Assembly services are non-refundable once booked. If you decline assembly or encounter issues such as stairs not fitting the bed, we will not issue a refund for the service.
Packaging and Returns
We do not take packaging away after assembly, so customers are responsible for its disposal. Items must be returned in their original packaging, unopened, unused, and in a condition that allows us to resell them as new.
Non-returnable Items
- Custom orders (e.g., bespoke bed heights, modified products)
- Ambassador range beds
- Mattresses (for hygiene reasons)
- Headboards over 50"
- Opened mattresses or items from the Ambassador, Luxury, or Accessory collections
- Products that have been altered or damaged by the customer
How to Return an Item

Refund Process
Once we receive a properly returned item, we will issue a refund for the purchase price, excluding any return shipping charges. Please note that a return charge will apply to bed frames and ottoman beds, and we cannot accept returns for the Ambassador, Luxury, or Accessory collections.
Exclusions from Return Policy
We cannot accept returns for:
- Items altered by you (e.g., headboard height changes)
- Items damaged by you or returned without proper packaging
- Non-faulty items where a return charge applies (bed frames: £120, ottoman beds: £150)
- Ambassador, luxury, and modified beds
Additional Information
Recycling of Items
We do not offer a recycling service, and customers are responsible for disposing of old beds or mattresses. Please contact your local council for disposal options.
Assembly and Delivery
We can offer assembly services for all products for extra charges. Please ensure the room is clear as the assembly team does not dismantle old furniture or remove packaging. We also offer a 'Room of Choice' delivery service, but for apartments with no lift or beyond the second floor, items will be left on the ground floor.
Delivery and Acceptance
Please inspect your items upon delivery. If there are any damages, mark the delivery paperwork as "Damaged" and email us within 24 hours with images of the damage.
Order Cancellations
Orders cancelled after 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee: £90 for bed frames and £120 for ottoman beds. Customised products (e.g., higher headboards, ambassador beds) cannot be cancelled once processed.
Please note that late or missed deliveries do not entitle you to a return, and a re-delivery fee will apply. Delays caused by unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, vehicle breakdowns) are also not grounds for a return.
